[ARCHIVED] ICASH COMING TO MIDLOTHIAN PUBLIC LIBRARY

ICASH COMING TO MIDLOTHIAN PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Illinois State Treasurer’s Unclaimed Property Division connects state residents with their unclaimed property. The state currently has $2.5 billion dollars in cash plus contents from Illinois bank safe deposit boxes, which need to be returned to Illinois residents. It’s easy for Illinois residents to discover if they have assets waiting for them through the ICASH program.

ICASH representatives will be at Midlothian Public Library every Tuesday in August and every Wednesday in September from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM to help Illinois residents find and get back money that is theirs.

The process is simple! ICASH representatives will enter the Illinois resident’s name into their search field. If there is a match, they will assist in getting a claim started. If all the required forms are properly submitted, the unclaimed property should be redeemed in 3 to 4 months.

The program is free, and no registration is required. Anyone can simply drop by the library during the advertised hours. If these hours are not convenient, residents may call the Library’s Help Desk at (708) 535-2027 for more information.
