2022 U.S. News Best Public High Schools list, according to a release from U.S. News.

All Bremen High School District 228 schools are among thousands of public high schools in the country to rank in the

2022 U.S. News Best Public High Schools list, according to a release from U.S. News. District schools include

Bremen High School, Hillcrest High School, Tinley Park High School and Oak Forest High School.

U.S. News reviewed nearly 24,000 schools, with 673 among the rank in Illinois. Here is where D228 stands:

● Tinley Park High School ranked at 214 in Illinois, and 6,382 in National Rankings.

● Oak Forest High School ranked at 233 in Illinois, and 6,941 in National Rankings.

● Bremen High School ranked at 438-673rd within Illinois, and 13,383-17,843 nationally.

● Hillcrest High School ranked at 438-673rd within Illinois, and 13,383-17,843 in National Rankings

According to U.S. News, schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well

“This is the second year in a row that our district schools have been recognized by the U.S. News & World Report 'Best

High Schools' ranking. It is an honor to be mentioned alongside the many outstanding high schools in our area,” said

Superintendent of Bremen High School District 228 Dr. Brad Sikora.

“This recognition is a symbol of the excellent service we strive to provide to all of our students within Bremen High School

District 228. I congratulate the leadership of each school for their efforts and pursuit of educational excellence,” Dr. Sikora

said.

Graduation rates and college readiness are key metrics within the 2022 Best High Schools rankings, released

Tuesday. U.S. News ranked about 18,000 out of nearly 24,000 reviewed public high schools in all 50 states and the

District of Columbia, U.S. News said.
