The Village of Midlothian has developed a sidewalk repair and maintenance policy. Each year the Village or it’s contractor will inspect the condition of the public sidewalks in one quadrant of town. (Midlothian is divided into four quadrants – Northeast, Southeast, Southwest and Northwest). Our plan is to address the worst sidewalks in that year’s designated quadrant, provided there is available funding.
This year (2019) the Northeast section of town (143rd-147th & Kedzie to Pulaski) will be addressed. The Village has hired Safety Services & Assessments (SSA, LLC) to saw cut and grind various trip hazards within this quadrant. Weather permitting, this work will begin on Monday April 15th.
