Have Hurricanes Harvey and Irma and the wildfires in the west gotten you wondering about climate change?
Come explore the scientific facts and strategies for community resilience this Saturday, September 16, from 10:00-11:30 AM at Midlothian Public Library. Pushing the Limits: Climate Change Impacts in Our Community is a three-part series that engages adults in discussing local weather challenges and threats. Participants will be invited to read one popular fiction or non-fiction book in advance of each session, but PLEASE COME even if you have NOT had time to read the book. We will also watch a brief human interest video about real people who have developed resilient strategies for facing climate challenges and learn from our partner scientist from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Dr. Jason Webster. Representatives of Midlothian's own Rain Ready team will be present too! While attendance at all 3 sessions is encouraged, each month's event can stand on its own and may be attended separately.
