From the desk of Mayor Gary L'Heureux,
"In light of what is going on down in Texas with Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey, I reached out to officials in our sister city, Midlothian, Texas. They tell me they were fortunate and weren't affected too badly by the storm, but the devastation to the south of them is pretty bad. I was contacted today by a good friend who is willing to drive a truck down there with relief supplies. If you would like to donate supplies, the Village of Midlothian will be accepting donations for the next couple of weeks. They are asking for water, canned goods that don't need to be cooked, blankets, diapers, clothes, tooth brushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, etc....
I know donations can be made in many ways to help the relief effort, like the Red Cross by texting Harvey to 90999, or through the Knights of Columbus. We are just offering another option for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support."
