Resurfacing on 147th Street between Kilpatrick Avenue and Kedzie Avenue begin the week of July 17th...
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced that daily lane closures will take place on 147th Street (Illinois 83) from Kilpatrick to Kedzie in Midlothian beginning (weather permitting) the week of July 17th. The closures are necessary for a resurfacing project along 147th Street.
In order to complete the work commuters will be reduced to one lane in either direction. The scope of the project consists of resurfacing and pavement marking as well as curb and gutter replacement. The overall project is expected to be completed in Fall 2017.
