According to the Farmer’s Almanac, our first frost date will be Monday, October 24th. To fully protect rain barrels and prevent ice formations in and around the barrel area, we highly recommend that every rain barrel be properly winterized. This means draining, disconnecting, flipping upside down, and storing the rain barrels in the garage or basement. Proper maintenance and storage will prevent the barrel from cracking and uphold the 1-year warranty.
